A visit with "Grandma" and Johnny

This past weekend we went to "Grandma" and Johnny's house. On Saturday morning Jeremy and Johnny went to play golf. The girls, and Jonathan since he is too young to play golf, went to a store in Chapin called La Te Da. It is a children's store, but next door it has a place where girls can have princess parties and dress up like a princes! The owner was nice enough to let Madeline play in the costumes. As you can imagine, she loved it. She must have put on 10 different costumes.

After we played dress up for a while we went to meet the guys at the golf course for lunch. We also went to the pool that afternoon at the neighbor's house. Madeline put on quite a show jumping off the diving board. Jonathan was content to be in his floaty just observing.

Sunday, we went to the Children's Museum in Columbia. Both Madeline and Jonathan thought is was a really cool place. They had all sorts of activities for kids. It was geared towards older children, but there was a room where Jonathan could roll around and play.

Sunday afternoon, we headed to Charleston. Johnny and Pleaslyn were supposed to come with us, but something came up and they could not go. When we got there we went straight to the beach. The warm air and the wind put Jonathan right to sleep. Madeline, on the other hand, got her feet in the water and looked for sea shells.

Monday morning we went to the beach again. Jonathan did really well. He loved the water and the sand. Madeline liked it much better this time around. The first time we took her to the beach she would not put her feet on the sand and she sure wouldn't get in the ocean. We also saw a shark - it was about 3 - 4 feet long. Madeline thought it was really cool.

We eventually made it down town. Jeremy had a couple of appointments he had to go to, so the kids and I just walked around the campus of College of Charleston and also around town a little bit.
