Madeline Dancing

This was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Madeline and I were shopping at the Mall in Athens. Madeline all of a sudden starts to dance to the music playing in the store. She was good enough to get an audience. Enjoy.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Here is a picture of Madeline and Jeremy decorating the Christmas tree. This was more of a challenge having 2 children crawling around. It did eventually get accomplished.

Playing in the Backyard

These are some videos from Madeline and Jonathan playing in the backyard. The first video is of Jonathan going down the slide - head first. He loves it!

This is a video of Madeline climbing up to the monkey bars and singing.

Thanksgiving Lunch at School

Madeline's class had Thanksgiving lunch at school and all the parents got to come. It was really fun until it was time to leave. Madeline wanted to go with me, but she had to stay because I had to go back to work. This is a picture of Madeline and her friend Anna.

Below is a picture of Madeline sitting in her cubby before they head outside. Next to here are Isabella and Sophia.

Thanksgiving

So, it has been a while since I have updated this blog. We have been without computer and internet since November. These are some pictures from Thanksgiving in Chapin.
Below is a great picture - Madeline was apparently not in the mood to pose. So this is what we got:
Here is a picture of Jonathan playing:

After we made it to Chapin we went to Gainesville. It was very busy at the house, Dave and his family were in town as well as Bob and his girlfriend. We went to the Mall of Georgia and saw Santa. That is always an interesting experience.

Happy Halloween

After many days of Madeline wanting to be Ariel for Halloween, she changed her mind at the last minute and was Jasmine instead. She made the decision rather quickly at the store, so I didn't know if we would have a problem the day of. But, she stuck with Jasmine, and was super cute. Madeline also picked out Jonathan's costume - a dragon. He was the cutest dragon that I've ever seen.
Both Jeremy's parents and my mom were able to come over to see the children in their costumes. We all went over to the neighbors for some pre trick-or-treating festivities. After dinner, the dad's took the kids trick or treating. I met up with them later - Madeline turned in early - I think she was cold in her costume.
Here are some pictures of Jeremy, Johnny and Jackson bobbing for apples. This was quite entertaining!

Jonathan's Baptism

On October 19th we baptized Jonathan at the Catholic Center in Athens. The ceremony was after the 10:00 mass, which was probably a wise decision as Madeline and Natalie could not sit still. Everything went well. Jonathan was a breeze. He looked super cute in his little outfit. The weather was perfect too. We had everyone over to the house afterwards. We were able to visit and the kids were able to play. Here are some pictures from the event.

Washington Farms

We went one afternoon to Washington Farms with the Morgan Halls one afternoon after work. We didn't have a lot of time to do everything, but we did manage to let the kids (and Jeremy) ride the cow train, the hay ride and pick a pumpkin. Here are some pictures from the outing.

Fall Fun Fair

We went to the Fall Fun Fair at Barnett Shoals Elementary. They had a lot of activities for the kids and a lot of candy for the too. Madeline and Jackson had fun doing the cake walk, the jump castle and face painting together. However, I think one of the most entertaining activities was Karaoke. It was mostly older kids doing this, but Jackson and Madeline did take a turn. Unfortunately for Jackson, Madeline got to pick the song and they sang and danced to Cheetah Girls One World. Jackson didn't seem to mind too much. It is not the best video, but every once in a while you can hear them sing a few words and dance. The dancing is mostly moving the shoulders, but it is still entertaining. Enjoy!

UGA Soccer Alumni

UGA had their Alumni weekend Oct. 12th. About 15 people showed up - not a great turn out, but not bad. Some were able to bring their children. It is so strange to see teammates with children. Many days I can't believe I have 2!! I'm not sure that I got a picture of the Alum, but I did get some of all the kids.
Below is a picture of many future Georgia Soccer players (accept for the boys - sorry). In the picture below are Betsy Beach and Jonathan on the front row, and on the back row are Maryann Beach, Madeline, Dasia Torbert, and Drake Luckie. All of the kids showcased their soccer skills. It was quite entertaining. Jonathan loved being out there. I am contemplating sending this picture of him with the Nike soccer ball to Nike to see if we can get him in some ads :)

This is a picture of Madeline and the Beach girls on our front steps before we headed out to the soccer fields. They were very cooperative and VERY cute! After a long day at the soccer complex, Jeremy, Beth, Bryan and I finally got the kids settled with ONE baby sitter and headed out to the GA vs. Tennessee football game. I don't think that the guys were very worried about the baby sitter with our 4 children (ages: Madeline - 3, Maryann - 3, Betsy - 1, Jonathan - 9 months). Beth and I were more concerned and of course called during the game to make sure everything was okay. It turned out that Betsy and Jonathan napped while Maryann and Madeline played. Then Maryann and Madeline fell asleep and the other 2 woke up. So all turned out well. I think it went better than planned, so hopefully we'll get to do that again soon!!

Sleeping Jonathan

Jonathan has finally decided to sleep through the night. I went in to check on him to make sure he was warm, etc. and this is how I found him sleeping.

Trike-a-Thon

This morning we went to a Trike-a-Thon with the Morgan-Halls at Cedar Shoals High School. The kids got to ride bikes, jump in the jump castle and more. Here are some pictures from the event.

More Pictures

Here are some more pictures of the kids...

Georgia vs. Arizona State Pregame Show

For those of you who know Madeline, she loves the dogs. Jeremy took a video of her singing "Glory to Ole Georgia" one morning before school in preparation for the Georgia vs. Arizona State football game. We sent to video out to Jarrett and one of her friends in Phoenix, and they used it for an evite to the tailgate for the football game. One of the people they sent it to happens to work for Fox Sports and they asked if they could use the clip for the Sun Devil Minute. Here is the clip with Madeline making her debut on the big screen...

Visiting with Babcha and Bob

After our visit to South Carolina, I took the kids to Gainesville. Mom and I took them to the Georgia Aquarium. None of us had been-it was a long, fun day for all. Jonathan was amazed by all of the fish. Madeline loved the sharks.

And there was a mermaid you could sit on and get your picture taken, so of course Madeline had to do that...after all, I think she thinks she is Ariel from the Little Mermaid.

We eventually made our way to Rome, Ga where Bob moved. It is a really nice little city. He showed us where he works, down town, Berry College, etc.

A visit with "Grandma" and Johnny

This past weekend we went to "Grandma" and Johnny's house. On Saturday morning Jeremy and Johnny went to play golf. The girls, and Jonathan since he is too young to play golf, went to a store in Chapin called La Te Da. It is a children's store, but next door it has a place where girls can have princess parties and dress up like a princes! The owner was nice enough to let Madeline play in the costumes. As you can imagine, she loved it. She must have put on 10 different costumes.

After we played dress up for a while we went to meet the guys at the golf course for lunch. We also went to the pool that afternoon at the neighbor's house. Madeline put on quite a show jumping off the diving board. Jonathan was content to be in his floaty just observing.

Sunday, we went to the Children's Museum in Columbia. Both Madeline and Jonathan thought is was a really cool place. They had all sorts of activities for kids. It was geared towards older children, but there was a room where Jonathan could roll around and play.

Sunday afternoon, we headed to Charleston. Johnny and Pleaslyn were supposed to come with us, but something came up and they could not go. When we got there we went straight to the beach. The warm air and the wind put Jonathan right to sleep. Madeline, on the other hand, got her feet in the water and looked for sea shells.

Monday morning we went to the beach again. Jonathan did really well. He loved the water and the sand. Madeline liked it much better this time around. The first time we took her to the beach she would not put her feet on the sand and she sure wouldn't get in the ocean. We also saw a shark - it was about 3 - 4 feet long. Madeline thought it was really cool.

We eventually made it down town. Jeremy had a couple of appointments he had to go to, so the kids and I just walked around the campus of College of Charleston and also around town a little bit.
