UGA vs. GA Tech

Dave, Carey, Brendan, Natalie and Babcha came to town for the UGA vs. GA Tech football game. I don't think that Carey and the kids had ever been to a football game, so it was pretty exciting. The weather was cold, but not too bad. I think we had everyone so layered up that we were somewhat hot!

Uncle Bob and Aunt Tammy came to Athens for a fun filled weekend with us. We went to the UGA vs. Idaho State football game. Afterwards we got something to eat and went bowling. If you have never been with Bob bowling, you should - it is quite entertaining.

Halloween

I'm a little behind on posting - but here are pictures from Halloween. Madeline was Ariel, finally, and Jonathan was Lighten McQueen. Every year Madeline says she wants to be Ariel, but when we get to the store to pick up the costume she changes her mind - go figure. However, this year she stuck with it. Jonathan, on the other hand, never changed his mind!

Weekend at Babchas

We spent a long weekend with Babcha in Gainesville. We started with a trip to Hillcrest Farms to pick some apples. We had a great time, picked a lot of apples and the kids got to do a lot of activities.

Later that weekend, we went to Lake Lanier Islands to see the Halloween lights. I think the highlight of the evening was when Madeline, Jackson and I went into the haunted house, took one step in, got scared and immediately went out. Mom, Jonathan and the ticket man laughed hysterically. We did not get a lot of pictures, but here are some from the end of the night.

The Dogs

I took the kids to a football game to watch the Dogs! Luckily Mrs. Abbi sat with us - the help was much appreciated!! We did get this before picture of the family!

First Day of School

Can you believe Madeline is in Kindergarten? She started on August 9th and goes to Cleveland Road Elementary. Her teacher is awesome - teacher of the year in the county!! Madeline is doing great - and even rides the bus to school! She's such a rock star. Jonathan is a little bit upset that he cannot ride the bus, but he does get to walk Madeline to the bus stop every morning.

Panama City Beach

We were lucky enough to get some family time at Panama City Beach this summer. It has changed quite a bit since I went there when I was about 12 years old. Many of the the old houses have been torn down and high rises have replaced them. We were fortunate and stayed about 1/4 mile from Pier Park at Calypso right on the beach. Madeline enjoyed the beach, but Jonathan was not fond of it so we spent most of our time at the pool. It was fun, nonetheless.
