Terrapin 5K plus ONE

Terrapin had a 5K plus ONE race. Jeremy and Derrell decided to run in it. I think it was the free beer afterwards that inspired them. They both seemed to enjoy it, but you'll have to talk to Jeremy about how it ended. While the guys were running, Madeline, Jonathan and I played outside the brewery. It is actually a pretty cool place. They had a band and some games to play for the kids. We ended up seeing 2 of Madeline's friend from school, Evin and Andrew. Below is some great footage of them dancing! Also are some pictures from the event.

I'm sure you're wondering why Jonathan has no shirt on. Well, about half way into the evening, he decided to pour a bottle of water down the front of his shirt. I of course did not pack an extra. So we decided to let him go shirtless.
This is the video of Madeline and her friends, Evin and Andrew dancing. Evin has on a pink top and a brown skirt. Andrew has on a green shirt with blue shorts.

Easter Weekend

It was great to see all of our family this weekend. It started on Friday...Natalie, Brendan, Carey and Dave came to Athens to spend the weekend. You can imagine how excited the kids were to see them. Friday night was supposed to be MOVIE night. So, while the kids watched the movie, the adults played cards. Well, we thought everything was going okay. I even asked if we should be worried that everything was so quiet. I was assured that everything was okay. Finally Brendan comes in and says "Um, Madeline and Natalie are doing something they're not supposed to be doing." Turns out Natalie and Madeline were washing each others feet...with Madeline's toothbrush and soap...nice. Here are some pictures from the weekend starting with decorating cookies on Friday night as well as videos from the egg hunt at church. On Saturday, we started out with breakfast at Dunkin Donuts (a family favorite) and then headed to church for the beginning of Easter festivities. The Catholic Center had a carnival at 9:00. There was a jump castle, face painting, art project, and more. The Easter Bunny also made an appearance. As you can see, Jonathan was not too impressed with him. Here are some pictures of the girls doing some other activities.

Easter Parties at School

Easter started on Friday and Champions (school). We had an Easter party and egg hunt for both Madeline and Jonathan. They were both really cute. Here are some pictures and videos. This is Jonathan in his classroom (Tumblers).

After we partied in Jonathan's room we headed down to Madeline's room and made it for the blessing.

Soccer

We decided to sign Madeline up for soccer. I'm not sure it's one of the best ideas we've ever had. She's not that into it...which is okay. Jeremy and I would just like her to participate in something. We tried BALLET, but that did not work out either. I'm just glad I was not there to witness everything. According to Jeremy it was super stressful and no fun at all. When you look at the pictures, you'll get the idea. Did I mention that apparently we were supposed to have a pink and white jersey for her? Who knew?

Can you find the one in PINK?

The Winter Storm

Madeline and Jonathan got a real treat when it snowed. Unfortunately, Jonathan had secondary pneumonia, so he did not get to enjoy the snow as much as Madeline. Another treat was that Jeremy's trip out of town got canceled, so he got to play with us. Madeline and 3 friends (Jackson, Eric and Emily) made a snowman. After that we went tobogganing down the street. Jonathan got to go and watch this from the car. We finished the day with some hot chocolate at the neighbors house.

I'm Back

So, it's been a while since I've posted anything to the blog. Been super busy with the family and with work. So here goes...
