Spring Fling Festival

We had a great time at the Spring Fling Festival. Jackson, our next door neighbor, went with us and he and Madeline had a blast. Jonathan was a good sport too. He sat next to Jeremy while he worked the "Go Fish" booth.
Madeline loved the "Duck Pond" booth. At one point, she partially submerged herself in the pond. Her other favorite was the "Jump Castle." Madeline and Jackson also enjoyed the pizza, Coke and cupcakes.

Jonathan

Here are some pictures of Jonathan. He is such a good sport. He never really cries or complains about how he gets toted around everywhere. He has been practicing rolling over and can now roll to his stomach and to his back again.

Baking Cupcakes

Each Spring, there is a Spring Fling festival at Madelnie's and Jonathan's school. Jeremy and I decided this year we would volunteer to help. Jeremy is going to help with set up and clean up, and I volunteered to bake cupcakes for the cupcake walk. I thought it would be a fun activity for Madeline and I to bake this evening - and it was. I am surprised that any of the sprinkles actually made it to the top of the cupcakes as they kept ending up in Madeline's mouth. And several times her finger "accidentally" made it into the icing...notice the mischievous look on her face in the picture.

I am a bit concerned, however, because I think Madeline thinks that we are celebrating her birthday at school tomorrow. Cupcake are apparently the standard birthday party treat. It's not until July, but she keeps talking about how her and her friends in the Champs classroom are going to take a nap and then get up and eat cupcakes tomorrow.

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day. We went to church, which is always an adventure, and we made a stop at our favorite after church spot - Dunkin Donuts. Madeline's donut of choice is the strawberry frosted with sprinkles.

Madeline and I also went with our neighbors, Jackson and Margaret, to Washington Farms to pick strawberries. Jackson's Aunt Caroline went too. The kids were interested in the strawberries for about one minute and then were off with Aunt Caroline to see the farm animals and to play on the slides and in the corn box.

Jeremy and Jonathan stayed at home and did boy stuff. Apparently Jonathan got his first lesson in yard work. He watched Jeremy and Derrell (Jackson's dad) cut down some trees. Thank goodness there were no injuries to report.

Welcome

This is the most recent picture of our family. It was taken Easter weekend before the big egg hunt. As you can see, Madeline was ready to hunt eggs and was not interested in the picture. Jonathan was the same as always - just happy to be around. Jeremy and I are trying to be as 'normal' as possible.
